<<  Set 2/2  >>

Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Tehran IRAN (1969-77)

The concept was to design a museum with interconnected galleries, which gradually go downwards. The entire museum circulation functions with a ramp system avoiding stairs.

The multilevel entrance accommodates cultural and administration activities, this space is the beginning and end of the extensive chain-like gallery system.

Total usable surface is 5000 m2. The museum houses an extensive collation of 20th century western and Iranian art, mostly advised and purchased by Diba. He was also the promoter and founding director of TMCA. If interested you can see the highlights of the collection.
